![]() ![]() It took about a week and a half of scouring every image and website I could find, but I finally narrowed it down. #SCENARIST SD RAPIDSHARE SERIAL NUMBER#All I had was the serial number and the name ELTO. Recently I went on a quest to identify this engine. I'll definatly check out that site for manuals. I live about 20 muinutes from Watkins Glen and Seneca lake, so this summer I plan to visit some of the boat shows, and motor shows and see what turns up. So for now I'm keeping an eye out for an entire unit. I'm afraid the power head is a total loss. When I took the carb off last year all I could see in the crank case was rust. This motor has been soaking in PB Blaster for over a year. ![]() I would do some research because some motors need special running conditons like starting at high speed to start the flow of cooling water into the motor since the motor i am thinking about doesnt have a pump of any kind. You should replace the water impeller/rotor which ever this motor is equiped with. Reverse in mine is actualy turning the motor around 180 degrees around. My motor is direct drive no netural or reverse and it can be a challenge goin at a fast clip to manuver. Currently i have mine torn apart because my bearings or crank case seal is shot and it will stall any lower than the start position which is higher than low speed. If it has excesses play in the bearings and or low compression from rings and or the seal on the case bad it might not run low speed. They are 2 strokes and most important is looking at the bearings and how much side play as i am learning. First i would work on gettin the motor unstuck. They are all or the many i have seen very cold blooded and probilly will need some work. It took about a week and a half of scouring every image and website I could find. ![]() ![]()
